Q: I have never been to Hippie Hollow.
What do I need to know and what can I expect on my first visit?
A:
When you turn into the park from Comanche Trail, you will be greeted
at the drive-thru window of the guardhouse where you will pay the day
use fee for entry. Stay dressed while you are in the parking lot.
However, you may undress with a towel around you if you want to
leave your clothing in your vehicle. Stay covered until you are out
of the parking lot and on a trail to the lake. It is not far from
the parking lot to the lake, about a 5-minute walk. You can take
drinks and food, but no glass containers. There are restrooms,
trashcans and potable water near the lake. Bring a towel, sun
glasses, sunscreen, camera and maybe a float and water shoes for swimming. The shoreline is rocky, so
closed-toed shoes are better than sandals, and a thin exercise mat
is good to lay on (some of the the rocks are sharp). You can expect to find
lots of friendly naked people. So, find new and old friends to laugh
and talk with, sunbath,
swim and just have fun.

Q: I have heard the Hippie Hollow is not a family
oriented park, is this true? Or am I able to bring children under
the age of 18?
A: Travis County barred those under
18. Officials said the state's only government-maintained nude
park is a potential breeding ground for sexual predators and no place
for kids, indicating the issue is not the violation of parental
rights, but the protection of children.
It does appear that county officials
are unfairly associating nudism with sexual wrongdoing because they
don't understand naturism, which promotes ``healthy, wholesome attitudes
about nudity and the human body.''

Q: I posted a message to the bulletin board and
now it is gone. I also uploaded some pictures to the member picture
gallery that never showed up on the website. Is there something
wrong?
A: There are a few
guidelines used for determining
appropriate material for this website. The
guidelines are listed with the
Access Information in the Message Board, and are intended to make everyone's
visit to the website a pleasant experience.

Q: What is an avatar and how is it created? A:
An avatar is a small image that provides a visual depiction of you.
The Message Board allows you to upload a picture image of yourself
to be displayed with your messages and in your profile. The
image should be cropped to 100 by 100 pixels with a maximum size of
approximately 6 Kilobytes. You use image-editing software to
create an avatar.
If you need help creating an
avatar from a digital image, we are happy to help. Just send a
message to the Admin or Moderator of the forum for assistance.

Q:
What about pets and alcohol? A:
Public display of the consumption of alcoholic beverages is
prohibited, so keep you beer in a Koozie to hide the label. Sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the park.
Intoxicated persons will not be allowed in the park. Visitors who
become intoxicated will be removed from the park. No person shall bring into or use glass containers in any area of
the park.
Pets are not allowed in Hippie
Hollow Park.

| Q: I have registered for an account, but
I can not login. Can you help me? A: Your username and password
are case sensitive. Make sure that upper and lower case characters
match exactly.
Case
Sensitive - 1:
Distinguishing between upper- and lower-case letters. 2:
Knowing the difference between capital letters and lower case
letters. For example: A case-sensitive search for
"CASE" would not find "case".
Also, the registration for the message board is
separate from that for the member photo area. You must register
twice (Sorry).

|
Q: Do you
HAVE to pay for the photo area?
A:
The donation system was implemented in 2009 primarily to address
concerns of those that upload pictures to the site. By requiring a
small donation, traffic is filtered to those seriously interested in HippieHollow.com
and not just those browsing the Internet for nude pictures. Donations have stopped the traffic from surfers
just passing through, and for those who upload your pictures to the
Picture Area, not just anyone that visits this website gets access.
There are no monthly fees.
There are no recurring payments.
Just one donation.

Q: Can I use PayPal to make a donation?
A:
PayPal is not nudist friendly.
PayPal was used initially at HippieHollow.com, but PayPal decided they will not do
business with nudist sites. Accepting HippieHollow.com donations
through PayPal was determined by PayPal to be in violation of the
PayPal Acceptable Use Policy which resulted in termination of
our PayPal account.
PayPal equates any, and all, nudity with
obscenity.
AlertPay is nudist friendly.
AlertPay has been implemented at HippieHollow.com and is used by
other nudist organizations all around the world. AlertPay is a top-notch Canadian
company based in Montreal and created in 2004. It offers secure
online payment solutions available to more than 190 countries and 21
currencies, and offers local banking wire transfer in 46 countries.
AlertPay is a very credible, secure and
nudist friendly alternative to PayPal.

Q: I wanted
to join the photo area, but it looks like they only accept VISA? ...
I only have a Master Card
A:
AlertPay does not accept MasterCard and American Express for nudist sites because of
company policies at MasterCard and American Express. It does not have anything to do with AlertPay. MasterCard
and American Express, like PayPal, will not
allow business with sites that contain adult content
(see the above on PayPal).
AlertPay accepts Visa for transactions without requiring an AlertPay
account.
But there are other ways to use AlertPay, and with a Master Card and
American Express.
It is
free
to open a
Personal Starter Account at AlertPay. A Personal Starter is the
perfect account to send and receive money with easy deposit and
withdrawal methods. You can send money to anyone who has an email
address. It works like PayPal.
There are several
free
ways to deposit money to your AlertPay
account for sending money.
- You can still make MasterCard
and American Express payments through AlertPay Send Money. Simply
follow these steps to do so:
1. Create and Login to your AlertPay account.
2. Click on "Send Money".
3. Enter the receiver’s email address. ( donations @
hippiehollow . com )
4. Enter amount you want to send. If you would like to pay with
credit card, you can choose to do so on the following page under
"Method of Payment".
5. Select the purchase type, enter any additional details and
click on "Next”.
6. Review details, enter your Transaction PIN and click "Send".
- AlertPay accepts cashier’s
checks, certified checks and money orders (here
is how).
- A bank transfer to an
AlertPay account takes about 3 business days to complete and the
transaction is free for Canada and the US (here
is how).

Q:
I had an
account to the Picture Area. Was my account cancelled?
A:
All Picture Area accounts are still active.
No previous Picture Area
accounts have been terminated,
unless the email address associated
with the account is bouncing. Bounced emails cause problems with our
server. If your ISP (such as AOL or Yahoo) bounces emails that we
send to you because your email mailbox is full or has been
discontinued, even if your email address was active at one time, our
entire server may be blacklisted. Not because on one bounced email,
but the cumulative effect of many inactive email accounts. It gives
the appearance that hippiehollow.com is sending spam mail when we
are simply trying to communicate with those that signed up for the
Message Board or the Picture Area. Doesn't seem fair, but that is
how it works. So it is important for you to keep your email address
current in our system, or your account may be terminated to protect
everyone’s ability to get email.
The Message Board and the Picture Area
require separate login accounts,
which does get confusing for some. If you would like to have your
username and password for the Picture Area match that of your
Message Board account, we will help you with those
changes. If you do not remember your username and password to the
Picture Area, you can request a lost password to the Picture Area at
this link:
Request Lost Password (but your email must be active to receive
the reminder).
If you do not have an account to the Member Pictures Area, you may
apply for membership here:

| Q. I have registered for the
message board and when I attempt to login, I get this message "You have
specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."
What do I do?
A: When you register,
an email will be sent containing a link which activates your message
board account. Your account will be inactive until you visit the
link by clicking or by copying the link to your browser. Please
do not forget your password as it has been encrypted in our database
and we cannot retrieve it for you. However, should you forget your password
you can request a new one which will be activated in the same way as
this account.

Q: I realize that the photo gallery is probably over a year old, but I am using firefox and am not able to open any of the pictures. I am connecting thru RR and am using the Road Runner Computer associates suite along with webroot spysweeper and CA antivirus. Any help?
A: I think that you just answered
your own question. Thousands of people access this
site and get to the message board and the pictures in the gallery.
If you are having problems, more than likely it is something
incompatible with the combination of firewall and spy applications.
